Junya Ishigami discusses why modern architecture needs to be flexible and adaptable to changing needs, as architectural designs take decades to come to fruition. For this reason, he says, “If you’re trying to keep up with trends, you’re always behind.”
Junya Ishigami is inspired by blending traditional elements with seamlessly integrated new materials. The aim is that both exist simultaneously. It is this creative process that he used when it came to designing the beautiful Art Biotop Water Garden, located in Nasu, Tochigi.
